Surprised how empty this restaurant was on a Friday night, must be a reason. Service was good, and English was spoken. Everything on the menu sounded delicious and all that we ordered was tasty. Prices were reasonable. Recommend to try

Chaxiu is great. Probably the best I can get in Europe. A bit disappointed about the cantonese soup though- small proportion, pricey, mostly too bland without any flavor . Broccoli stir fries scallop was descent but 避风塘老虎虾 wasn’t very Hongkong. Anyways if you know what to order, this could be a good place;)

Cucina cinese di alto livello, ingredienti di qualità, piatti serviti con ottima presentazione, ogni assaggio un’esplosione di gusto. Buona carta dei vini. Se proprio devo trovare una pecca: i camerieri potrebbero descrivere i piatti con più entusiasmo e dettagli, per aiutare a scegliere dal menu.

Excellent choice in Milano

Char siu tastes like plastic bags due to bad cooking techniques or wrong quality control. Desserts are overpriced and some ingredients are not even fresh. Servers are very professional and well-trained. Cost control and quality are both vital for a restaurant. Attention to detail is very essential for any restaurant targeting high end customers. I can understand that they want to open a gastronomic or bistronomic Hong Kong restaurant in Milan, but it is certain that some basic savoir faire and culinary standard require enhancement.

I do not say this lightly but here goes: HekFan is the best Cantonese restaurant I have had in all of Europe. Its that good. We have had Cantonese food all over Europe and the UK over the past 5+ years and HekFan is the best in both entree quality and faithfulness to Cantonese cuisine craftsmanship. I couldn’t believe that a place in Milan would trump all the luxury Canto places/dimsums one can access in London but thats exactly what HekFan did. HekFan was not even on our original itinerary, we stumbled on it after a day of exploring Brera and the Pinacoteca. For the dim sum portion, we ordered the standard 蝦餃燒賣 combo and xiaolongbao/小籠包, and they were all shockingly great, especially the siu mai and the xiaolongbaos, exquisite delicate skin with plenty of soup inside, not overly thick or chewy. The soup is on the light side and in line with European style pork, very flavorful without being over salty. It was so great that we just gobbled it up and forgot to photograph them lol We selected the char siu, pepper and garlic shrimp, and sweet and sour pork as our entrees. The shrimp was tossed nicely but the two pork dishes really stood out. The char siu is incredibly flavorful and tender and had clearly been slow roasted for many hours beforehand. The sweet and sour pork was topped with strawberry flakes and presented on a bed of ice, which sealed the sweet and sour sauce flavors on the bottom of each piece and gives a very pleasant sensation of “cool on the bottom, hot on the top” when eating it. Just excellent in terms of both quality and cooking technique, these are supposedly simple Cantonese staples that are done terribly in many high-charging Chinese joints across Europe but HekFan nailed it all. Service was attentive throughout the night, both chef and proprietor checked in with us to see whether dishes were to our liking. Extremely surprising in a good way that such high quality Cantonese cooking is available in Europe, HekFan quite literally changed my entire perception of what the ceiling of 粵菜 in Europe is. If you are a fan of Cantonese cuisine and in/near Milan for whatever reason, this restaurant is 100% worth going out of your way to experience. Ai miei amici italiani, questo è cibo cantonese di qualità elitaria, di classe mondiale, disponibile a Milano. Non perdetevi questo!

Carinissimo ristorante in uno dei quartieri più suggestivi di Milano. I posti all’interno sono pochi, ma con la bella stagione si sta davvero bene fuori. Buonissimi i dim sum e molto scenografico gli spaghetti volanti.

Perfetto per le mie esigenze di relax e cibo non scontato in pieno centro a Brera . Personale gentile e carino . Piatti gustosi e bellissimi da vedere oltre che da gustare . Richiami d’oro molto apprezzati .

Amazing meal, excellent dim sum

The food is ok, but its not fair to take 8 euro as "Caperto" especialy when we didnt even get any bread and oil for that. That a tourist trap!! When the whole meal cost 40 euro.

Locale molto particolare che propone una cucina autentica di Hong Kong, un posto molta consigliata. hanno esperienza perche' i piatti sono preparati da un cuoco di origine Hong Kong. Mi sono piaciuto tanto. Ci sono molti piatti speciali bisogna prenotare prima.

Il cibo è fantastico. Il miglior Dim Sum della mia vita.

Locale molto particolare che propone una cucina autentica di Honk Kong, esperienza consigliata. Unico consiglio, ci sono molti piatti che bisogna prenotare in anticipo (non lo sapevo e mi spiace non averlo saputo prima, mi sono sentito un pò limitato nelle scelte)

Great service the lady who served us was so kind they came to make sure everything was okay I couldn’t give them a higher rating definitely would recommend them to you
